The Running Fence Revisited
Three
sold out nights of the new documentary film about the Running Fence had
theaters busting at the seams with people and memories. Christo and
Jeanne-Claude built the fence on Sonoma and Marin County landscapes in
1976. This film revisits the fence, the farmers, and the lasting impact
of the 24.5 mile art project of 33 years ago, a fitting tribute
to Jeanne-Claude (1935-2009).
Here is a 4 minute summary of the the project sponsored by the Smithsonian.
Take another look at Christo and Jeanne-Claude's website.
